Jesus Is_______. Student Edition Book Review

I received this book for free from it's publisher through booklookbloggers.com for my honest review. I got this book because I saw it advertized on the back of a bus. When I googled the book I found out that it is written by a pastor (Judah Smith) who is local to my area. I was very impressed with the powerful representation of our Lord in such a simplistic, yet impressively impacting way. This book is aimed towards pre-teens & teenagers. However, it would also suit a new believer of any age. I volunteer at a prison ministry and am donating this book, as it is an excellent resource for any prison ministry. If you know a young person searching for truth, doubting their faith, struggling with low self-esteem, or learning who they are in Christ, this book is an invaluable resource to assure their value to the King who died in their place so they could have life. Judah Smith really has a gift for preaching to and reaching into the hearts of young people. This book though it talks about Jesus, still reflects the sincere love for youth Judah Smith has. Although I have been a believer my whole life, this book still touched my heart and reminded me of just how much Christ loves us. Throughout the book Judah Smith uses powerful messages, humor, side bars, and discussion questions keeping the reader engaged and thinking about what knowing Jesus means for them as an individual, and making a great book for youth group and Bible study. I highly recommend this book to anyone that has kids, works in ministry, or wants to reflect on what it means to follow Jesus.

Who Is This Jesus? - ♥ FREE ♥ - Evangelism Bible Study Handout Worksheet

This is a wonderful Bible study to use in evangelism of Jehovah's Witnesses, Mormons, Christian Scientists, and any other person who is unsure of the deity of Jesus the Christ. Please feel free to copy and print out this study.

WHO IS PHIS
JESUS?

You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
- Jeremiah 29:13

Write in the blanks what you learn about Jesus from each of the following verses.

A. Jesus was conceived in the womb of a _________by the power of the_____________. He was to be named Jesus because He would ____________________________________. And He will be called Immanuel which means_______________________. (Matthew 1:18-23)

B. Jesus saw and knew Abraham who died about 2,000 years before Jesus was born on earth. Jesus said, “Truly, truly I tell you, before Abraham was born_________!” (John 8:56-58)
In John 8:58 Jesus says He is “I Am”. In Exodus 3:14 God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: 'I AM has sent me to you.” Think about what you just read. Who is Jesus? Who is Jesus claiming to be?

C. Jesus (the Word) was in the _____________. And the Word was with God, and the Word was________. (John 1:1)

D. Jesus was ____________________. (John 1:2)
E. Through _____ all things were _______. Nothing was created without __________. (John 1:3)
Jesus is Creator of all things. In Isaiah 44:20 God says, “This is what the Lord says, your Redeemer, who formed you in the womb: I am the Lord, the Maker of all things, who stretches out the heavens, who spreads out the earth by myself.”

F. Jesus (the Word) became ________ and lived among us. (John 1:14)
Reflect on what you just read. If Jesus existed before creation in the beginning and created all things, who is Jesus? (Read Genesis 1:1) If nothing was created without Jesus and He existed before creation; that makes Him the all-powerful, eternal Creator… Who is Jesus?

G. Jesus ____________________ (John 19:28-30)
H. Jesus ______________________________________ (Acts 2:32)
I. Jesus ______________________________________ (Acts 1:9-11)
J. Jesus is the ______________________________. Whoever ____________________ will live, even after they die. (John 11:25)
K. Jesus is the __________________________. No one can come to God the Father [get into Heaven], except through ________. (John 14:6)

Jesus says; “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in” – Revelation 3:20

What are the three most important truths you've learned from this lesson?
1. _________________________________________
2. _________________________________________
3. _________________________________________

Jesus loves you. He proved that by taking your punishment, dying in your place, then rising from the dead conquering Satan, sin, and death. He did that just so He could have a personal relationship with you, and live with you forever. Without Jesus in your life, you are spiritually dead. Choose life and place your trust in Jesus Christ right now.

I got the Little Chick's Bible to write a review on it here. I got this because I liked the Bunny Bible so much, and know two little kids at church that should enjoy them. This book is very soft, fuzzy, sturdy, and  lightweight. It is perfect for children 5 and under, and safe enough to leave in a crib with a young baby at nap-time or night. All pages are thick and sturdy with round edges. The story's are short and written in poems so they will not exceed the attention span of a little toddler. I think the rhyming in the story will help the child to remember and memorize each story with ease. This is more of a story book than it is a Bible, as it does not have whole Bible books in it. This book contains the following stories: Creation, Noah, Moses, The Birth of Jesus, The Good Samaritan, Jesus Feeds 5,000, and The Resurrection. I highly recommend giving this book to any small child. It's cuddly, has beautiful illustrations, introduces the Love and Glory of the King of Kings,  and I believe it will establish a love for God's Word in any small child.

Derek Prince Ministries - US : Embracing God’s Commands (153)

Derek Prince Ministries - US : Embracing God’s Commands (153)

Today's devotion from Derek Prince's website. He has been with the Lord for several years now, but his teaching on God's Word still impacts lives today.

"Psalm 119:127-128

Because I love your
commands more than gold, more than pure gold, and because I consider all
your precepts right, I hate every wrong path. NIV

What’s your attitude towards God’s commands? Do you fear them?
Do you resent them? Do you try to get away from them? That’s a foolish
attitude.

Remember, God gave His commands to us not to create
problems for us but to solve them, not to harm us but to help us. God’s
love is in His commands. They are given to save us from ourselves, to
save us from evil, to show us the way out of our difficulties and our
problems.

The psalmist had learned that, that’s why he said to
God, “I love your commands more that gold, more than pure gold.” What
is more precious than gold? Nothing in this created world. But God’s
commands are infinitely more precious and the psalmist had learned that.
Instead of running from God’s commands, resenting them, obeying them
reluctantly, he said, “I love your commands more than pure gold.”

And then he said, “Because I consider all Your precepts right, I hate
every wrong path.” You see, when we love God’s commands and obey them;
automatically they reveal to us what is wrong. They show us how to
distinguish between good and evil, between what is beneficial and what
is harmful. And when we are walking in the light of God’s commands, they
keep us from everything harmful, from everything hurtful, from every
wrong path.
